Overview
Reorders, rotates, duplicates, deletes and extracts pages of a PDF from a grid of page thumbnails. Drag pages into place or move them with the keyboard, insert blank pages, and download the rearranged file or just the pages you selected. The PDF is read and rebuilt in your browser, so it is never uploaded to a server.
How It Works
Drop a PDF of up to 100 MB and each page appears as a numbered thumbnail. Drag a thumbnail to a new position, or use the arrows under it; Alt plus the left or right arrow key moves the focused page. Click to select pages and Shift+click to select a range, then use the toolbar to move them earlier or later, rotate left or right, duplicate, delete or insert a blank page after the selection. Reset restores the original order. Download organized PDF saves every page in the new order, and Extract selected saves only the selected pages.
Step-by-Step Usage Guide
- Drop the PDF you want to rearrange onto the page.
- Drag thumbnails into the order you want, or select pages and use Earlier and Later.
- Rotate, duplicate or delete selected pages and insert blank pages where needed.
- Click Download organized PDF, or Extract selected to save only the chosen pages.
Technical Specifications & Standards
The output is a new document built from your page list. Each source page is copied with pdf-lib in the order you set, so a page can appear twice or not at all, and rotations you apply are added to whatever rotation the page already had. A blank page takes the size of the page before it, or A4 when it comes first. Page content, including text, images and vector graphics, is copied as it is, so nothing is re-rendered and text stays selectable. Because the pages move into a fresh file, document-level structure does not come along: bookmarks, the outline and interactive form fields from the original are not kept, and the tool says so under the buttons. If you need those, reorder in a desktop editor instead. Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened here; remove the password first with Unlock PDF. Thumbnails are drawn with pdf.js as they scroll into view, which keeps large files responsive.
Targeted Use Cases
- Moving a misplaced appendix or signature page to the right spot in a contract.
- Deleting blank or duplicate pages from a scanned document before sending it.
- Pulling three pages out of a long report to share with one person.
- Inserting blank pages so chapters start on the right-hand side for double-sided printing.
Notes & Gotchas
- Keep the original file, because the organized copy drops bookmarks and form fields.
- Use Shift+click to select a run of pages before deleting or moving them as a block.
- Check the small source label under each thumbnail, which shows the original page number after a move.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I delete pages from a PDF?
Click the pages you want to remove, using Shift+click for a range, press Delete, then Download organized PDF. At least one page must remain, and the original file is not changed.
Will rearranging pages keep my bookmarks and form fields?
No. Pages are copied into a new document, which carries the page content but not the outline, bookmarks or interactive form fields. Text and images on the pages are kept unchanged.
Can I reorder PDF pages without a mouse?
Yes. Tab to a page thumbnail and press Alt with the left or right arrow key to move it one place, or select pages and use the Earlier and Later buttons. Each move is announced to screen readers.
Does extracting pages reduce quality?
No. Extracted pages are copied, not rendered, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.
