Alert & Toast Components

Info, success, warning, and error alert boxes plus toast notification templates.

Overview

Design a status alert or toast notification and take the code with you in three flavors: plain HTML with CSS, Tailwind utility classes, or a React component. A live preview on a dark canvas shows the glass-styled card with title, message, and dismiss control.

How It Works

The live canvas renders a worked example: a glassy toast card with a success icon, a bold title, supporting message, and a Dismiss button, styled for dark interfaces. Below it, the export box offers three tabs. The HTML and CSS tab carries the complete markup plus a style block with the toast-card, toast-title, toast-msg, and toast-dismiss rules. Copy the active tab with one click.

Step-by-Step Usage Guide

  1. Review the toast example on the live canvas.
  2. Open the HTML and CSS tab for the complete, styled markup.
  3. Use the Tailwind or React tabs as scaffolds if you prefer those stacks.
  4. Copy the snippet and adapt colors, icon, and dismiss behavior in your app.

Technical Specifications & Standards

The generated design is a glassmorphism toast: a translucent white surface at low opacity, a 1-pixel white-alpha border, backdrop blur, and a large soft shadow, which is why it is intended for dark or image-backed layouts; on a white page the white-alpha surfaces disappear. The HTML and CSS export is complete and self-contained, with fixed colors and no variables to wire up. The other two tabs are deliberately abbreviated scaffolds: the Tailwind tab shows the opening container classes and the React tab wraps a stub in a component declaration, so treat them as starting points and finish the inner structure yourself, porting the CSS rules into utility classes or styles. The live preview includes an icon from an icon library that the exported HTML does not embed, so add your own inline SVG if the icon matters. There is no animation, auto-dismiss timer, or stacking logic in the export; those behaviors belong to your application code, and the markup gives you the visual layer only.

Targeted Use Cases

  • Adding a deployment or save-confirmation toast to a dashboard.
  • Standardizing notification styling across a dark-themed admin panel.
  • Prototyping alert states during a design review with a clickable example.
  • Grabbing a consistent title-plus-message-plus-dismiss structure for a team codebase.

Notes & Gotchas

  • Use this glass styling on dark or colorful backgrounds; white-alpha surfaces vanish on white pages.
  • Complete the abbreviated Tailwind and React tabs by porting the CSS rules; they are scaffolds, not full ports.
  • Add your own inline SVG icon; the exported markup does not include one.
  • Wire auto-dismiss and stacking in application code; the export is the visual layer only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the alert look broken on a white page?

The toast uses translucent white surfaces and white text intended for dark backgrounds. On a light page the contrast collapses, so restyle the background and text colors or place it on a dark surface.

Why are the Tailwind and React tabs shorter than the CSS tab?

Only the HTML and CSS export carries the full styled markup. The other two tabs are abbreviated scaffolds showing the container pattern, and you finish them using the CSS tab as the reference.

Does the generated toast dismiss itself?

No. The markup includes a dismiss button styled and labeled, but timing and removal logic belong to your application. The export is static presentation code.

Can I include the preview icon in my copy?

Not directly: the preview renders a library icon that the exported HTML omits. Copy any inline check or alert SVG into the markup when you paste the snippet.
